Our sailing family …
I organized my first sailing charter for friends in 1990. We explored the British Virgin Islands by sailboat. We had an amazing time and I was hooked for life. There’s no better way to experience a set of islands in paradise then by sail. Sailboats can anchor off beaches and villages that other travelers simply cannot get to. I ran the Latitudes & Attitudes Share the Sail program and helped grow our sailor list. We are very proud that most of our guests are returning clients from other Adventure Voyages. You have sailed with us before and know to expect a well planned Adventure sailing with other good people. New friends are welcome.

If you are compelled to explore abroad, sailing is as low an impact as you can have. Appreciating and being closer to nature is part of venturing by sail. Our Adventurers enjoy paradise while blissfully consuming less water, fuel and electricity than other forms of tourism. AV continues to fully offset carbon for our flotillas, boats and crew travel. And we encourage our fellow Voyagers to offset their flights and adjust their thermostat before leaving home. Our favorite non-profit offsetter is Cotap.org. It’s cheap and easy. Our Catalina Cruiser’s Weekend event donates proceeds to environmental non-profits, Heal the Bay and Celp.net. AV organizes volunteers to clean up the four marinas of King Harbor every year as part of International Coastal Cleanup. Ours was the first marina cleanup program upon which the ICC marina cleanup program is now based.
About Us …
 Wanting more, Captain Woody headed to sea on sailboats. He found what he was looking for in the paradises, people and challenges of crossing oceans. He went on to skipper yachts, deliver boats, circumnavigate and now operates Adventure Voyaging sail and learn vacations.Tania Aebi set sail at age 18 to become the youngest person, male or female, to solo circumnavigate. To those of us that have been inspired by her, she is a sailing legend. Join her with AV and TASA trips. |
