Sail Spain – Final Info

Ahoy Aventureros de vela,
Reach out to me or your skipper Saturday morning by text (or Whatsapp).
I will keep you informed of when I expect your yacht to be released for boarding.
They will be released at different times. We are always patient with the charter company.
It will be turn around day for them.

We have four sailing yachts. On the two Bavaria 46s, we have captains Tania and Woody.
Those boats are located at …
Sun Yacht Charters
Carrer de Sant Pere, 07012 Palma.

Our other two yachts are a 2023 Sun Odyssey 49 and a 2023 Sun Odyssey 44.
The skippers for these are Robin Stout and local Xerach.
The yachts are at …
La Lonja Marina Charter
Muelle de la lonja, s/n / 07012 Palma

Look on the image below to find Docks A & B.
You will get your boat and dock assignment in the Final Info email.

Your skippers will be working with the charter base staff to do the paperwork, boat check and chart briefing. Your job is to chill and get your sailing vacation off to an amazing start.
Your skippers will let you know when you can board. Please don’t bug the charter base staff before then as it will delay boarding time. If you have special requests after boarding, then is the better time.

We will be boarding our 4 sailing monohulls on the afternoon of Saturday the 5th. Most hotels send you on your way before noon. Most of our sailors will head to the marinas for lunch. Usually you can leave your bags at the charter base. Check in with your skipper. Find an eatery/drinkery and relax. After boarding, everyone works together to get the provisioning stowed.

Robin Stout is skippering the 49. She will be with her husband Mike.
The 44 is skippered by a local named Xerach. I have not met X but he sounds cool. We always strive to have one local skipper to benefit from all of the inside knowledge on culture, must sees, local events, easy reservations and of course language. And they have always been funny.

The skippers get together every day to discuss the sailing plan for the next day or two. We will hit all of the best spots while choosing the best sailing routes for the winds expected. The boats do what they like during the day with sailing and a lunch stop and then come together in the afternoons.

Our little flotilla has permits & reservations for Cabrera national park. We will depart early Sunday from Palma to make the sail to Cabrera. We will meet up at the yellow buoys at the main bay at Es Port. See attached. Cabrera is the first stop in our grand sailing Adventure!
